Hi all, Well today is gloomy Monday and I have been very lazy and just woke up lol :-), really needed a good sleep, which I had, so feel very refreshed.
I played on Saturday on mansion for a while, loaded up some sit and go's, and was doing fairly well in the 10 handed ones but couldn't get a deep run in any mtt, which ended up costing me a loss of $200 ....
I decided to pop up to the Big Slick for there £50 f/o with a 3k gtd, which was very good, they managed to get 100 runners, with ppl waiting on the list to play, the atmosphere was great..
I played quite well, I passed 2 pair on the river to a guy , the flop - J94, I'm in the sb, I bet the flop, he calls, the turn is Ace, I bet again he calls, the river is a King, I check he bets 1500, I decide I cant beat much here, so I fold my J4..... Then a very interesting hand occurred, I am in the BB with KK, the cut off limps for 200, the button limps, and I make it 700 on top, they both call and the flop comes 6 K 6 , all checked round, turn is a 6, all checked again, river the beautiful king, I bet 2k, the cut off raises to 6k, button folds and i go all in he instant calls and slams over 67 off, I roll over my KK and he cant believe it, it was quite a feeling :-)
I make a really bad mistake half way through when I call an all in for 7k with 3 over cards, and he has re shoved with middle pair, after announcing that he misread his hand ...... and after that I lose a few chips hear and there, then I make a off read when I check raise someone on the turn with a flush draw, he happens to have top pair, but I get lucky and hit my ace on river...., by about 1am there are 30 left, and I am in the SB with A3 dd, comes round to the SB, who limps, I decide to raise, try and pick up whats in there, however, he decides to slam it all in!!.... I think for a bit, and just feel he is not strong, so I decide to call he has A5 off suit, however the flop comes 356, and I am heading out the door, gg me...... It all comes down to them marginal situations again,,, I can quite easily build up chips, and I know I don't need to make these marginal/bad calls, in order to win a comp, next time......
Sunday arrives, and I decide to play the £100 f/o with a £50 add on at a club in Hampshire - The Sovereign, it has a 6k gtd, and a 30 minute clock and it started at 2pm, so I head off there.
I arrive and get the add on straight away, so have 20k starting stack, I cant get anything going in the 1st 3 levels, it was very painful, every raise was getting re raised and every pair was getting outdrawn, so I was happy when the break came... I came back to an 11k stack, I knew I didn't have to panic because of the clock.... so I make a couple of raises and have about 12.5k at the time of this hand..... blinds are 100/200 25 ante, 4 limper's, and the cut off makes it 1300, I am on the button with 84 clubs, I feel that it is a steal, so I decide to make it 4100 straight, all the limper's fold, and it gets to him who shows face up 75 off, I show my hand and we all laugh.......
I gradually build my stack to about 21k, and then call an all in for 7500 with 33 vs A8 and flop a set, which is nice, at this point I feel the tide turning and I feel very very focused, later on I hold 10 10, I raise, the button re raises to 7k, I cant flat call here, I decide I am either folding or going all in,,,, so I decide on the latter, he calls with AK,,, a classic race, which comes Ace high,,, BUT..... the river was kind and I binked a 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So now I feel great,,,however it doesn't take long for me to dump off 35k with 65 dd missing my straight draw and value betting (lol) on the end, and getting only "called" by quads, mbn :-)
I then have 63 hearts, the cut off +1 limps for 800, I make it 2400 on the button, he calls, flop K10Q, 2 diamonds, he checks I bet 4800, he calls, the turn is a King of diamonds, he checks I bet 9100, he folds....
much later blinds are 2/4k I hold 77, I make it 11k, the button raises to 26k straight, I move all in and he dwells up and passes, and after about an hour of small chip building I make the final table :-)
I have about 90k and top 6 get paid, so we decide to do a deal with all 9 getting paid.....
I don't get too involved, however I am not on the table long,,, ..... UTG limps for 6k....fold to me in the cutoff, and I limp with K6 clubs,,, the button limps and the BB checks, the flop comes :
Q109, 2 clubs...... the UTG bets 24k, I think about it, and I decide to push all in, the button calls (hes short with about 15k), and the bb folds, UTG dwells up for a long time, and makes the call with KK, turn and river brings 3, 3, of which none are clubs and I exit in a dismal 9th place..
This hand in many ppls eyes should never have been played, I agree..... however I like to take lots of flops, and when I hit a flop like that, I am not too disheartened to get my money in, If I hit, I am prob certain that I will make top 3 , which is 1k+, however the downside to it, is that I had played a great game up to that point, just picking away at ppl, so felt that again it comes down to the fact , I don't think I need to be putting my chips in, with a hand like that, on a draw.... sigh..gg
I get £150 for my efforts,,,, it was a great day, and I watch the FT pan out..... well done to Matt, who chopped it, he played well and overall I enjoyed the day out....
I head bck home about 3am, and decide to have a little go on poker stars, I play a little cash and win about 80$.....and about 10 stts, I get knocked out everyone until the last 12$ 180 man, which I happily win, so all in all the day did not seem too bad!! lololol
Anyway, I am off now to grab a bite to eat, will be playing a bit later, and can hopefully win a mtt online, its been sooooooooooooooooo longggggggggggggg..!!
Also like to say a massive congratulations to Mr Neil Channing for scooping 2ND place in the GUKPT main event in London this weekend, well deserved and well played :-)

The Final Furlong - 2:30am
Hi all, well today has been pretty stress full - I went to bed at 7am this morning, and slept right through till 6pm!!.....
I had a phone call from the owner of Big Slick, asking me to come down and play, with him offering the kind gesture of putting me in the comp, this man has been very supportive to me over the last couple of years, and I can only say thank you,he really is a great person.
So, I arrive late, as I had to do something before hand, and luckily have not lost too many chips. I pass for a few hands and nothing much really happens for about an hour. I had a couple of nice hands QQ, AK etc and re raised ppl, but no one called so just picked up what was in there. Then I have KJ hearts on the button, the cut off limps for 1600, I limp, and the BB checks, Flop - K83,, We all check and the turn is a 6 of hearts, which now brings me a flush draw and top pair, they both check and i bet 1600 they both call, and the river is a Queen, the bb checks and the cut off, moves all in, I end up calling and he shows QQ, mbn...
After that I get a triple up with KJ vs A9 and A2, and from then on, i just steal blinds etc.... Final 2 tables and I have AJ on the button, a guy makes a raise of 9k, I decide to push all in, and he folds, very next hand, the guy on my right, raises to 8k, I have 55 and re raise him all in, and he calls with A4 clubs and I hold, so now I'm thinking I'm on a run, until ..... I am in the sb, one limper, the BB announces raise and bumps it up to 7500, the limper folds and i peel off a flop with 109 of hearts, the flop comes QJ6 rainbow, I decide to shove all in he calls with KK gg me,,,,, leaves me with 17k and I end up shoving all in about every other hand,,,,,
We finally get to FT, with 6 getting paid, and I have 27k, with blinds starting at 2/4k.... I fold a few hands and after about 2 rounds I have about 23k, I am on the cut off with 96 clubs and move all in, the BB calls with K10 and I turn a flush - Then I reign back a bit, make a cheeky raise with J6 off on the button, the BB calls, flop comes Q74 , 2 diamonds, I decide to bet the same as my initial raise of 15k, he dwells for a while and then luckily folds
After a while, there are 5 of us left, I have 44k and the blinds are 3/6k, I'm UTG with K10, I decide to push and try and give myself another round of folding, the BB thinks and has about 80kish, and calls, with A8 off.... gg...wp...flop AQ9, and I don't improve and swiftly exit...
I am pretty fed up today tbh, There are a few things bothering me, and I know there is not much I can do about it. I suppose all I really want is to be happy with someone who can be there for me too, and people talk about time heels and the right one will come along one day, but I'm not so sure, I thought I had found the right person, obviously that was just a pipe dream too.
This is why I try to concentrate on my poker so much, because it allows me some sort of release, and less thinking time of all the crappy things that life throws at you.
Anyway, I'm off now, I haven't played online at all today, may not bother tomorrow either, because right now I think I need to chill out a bit and reflect on things, thanks for reading :-)

something has to give............ 4:30am
Hi all, did not get much sleep yesterday as I have had major problems sleeping for long periods, so is not too much fun.... While I was awake in the day, I logged on to mansion and played a few sngs, which within 45 minutes, I had been 1/2/3/ outed out of 80% of them.... zzzzzzz I was still in a 10$ f/o 3 k gtd, of which I ft, and managed to come a disappointing 6Th!. I was getting tired, and the game seemed to be going on forever, so no bad beats here, I blame myself, I tried to win it too quick and ultimately it cost me the 1st/2ND :-(
So I head off to sleep for a few hrs, and awake at 10pm, which Im not happy about as I wanted to sleep for a good 14 hrs...... So I switch on the computer and play a couple of comps on stars, and a couple on mansion.............
I played 2 comps on stars, and went out both fairly earlier,,,, I had A3 in SB limped from sb, 4 ppl in the pot, the flop comes - A310, check check, bet of 100, a call and i make it 700 to play, one caller, and the turn is a Q. I shove my bowl of rice in the middle and he calls with KJ, GG, WP.
within 10 seconds in the other one, I raise with 10 10, 2 callers, the flop comes 9, 2, 2, I bet one guy calls, the turn is a 2, I bet again, he sets me in...... I end up calling, and he flips 99, GG, WP.
The mansion ones I went out also, so no profit there today......
I play a bit of cash on stars, and get it in with JJ on a 456 board vs 99, it was nice to hold :-)
So I decide to play the 100k on stars, I sit down and thinks don't go to well when I flop top pair and lose about 600 to a set of 8's check calling all the way, (KJ cc)......
I grind it bck to a respectable 4k at the 1st break, and things get better after that, when I raise on button with 107 hearts, the flop comes 10 10 5, b leads out , I flat, the turn is an 8, and I move in he calls with A8....... then I have AK vs QQ and I flop the ace, and hold with 88 vs AQ and AK,,,, lovely.....
Then for some reason it all starts to go pear shaped, about 150 left, 81 get paid, I'm raising and getting back raised a lot, so I just try to steady the ship but cant seem to do it very well, I bleed off around 8k, and am highly frustrated at this point,,,, basically the long and short of it was I tilted off the rest, like a complete and utter donkey kong, all because I seem to lose all the mentality when going near the bubble/end of a comp,,, I am literally screwing at myself, really really irritated , I am going to be working on my game over the next few weeks, and start going back to basics, and really hammering home some discipline when it gets to these stages of mtts.
I definately need to change things in my game, 100%, because otherwise I am just going to give up for good as there is no point making ill timed mistakes over and over.
Rant over, and a strong lesson learned, take care, ppl, have a nice weekend, whatever you decide to do, and thanks for reading :-)

2:24 am - smoke but no cigar ......

I couldn't win anything on stars, lost all my hands when it really mattered, bubbled a 180 man, when I shoved on button with K9 dd, and the BB woke up with AA,,,, had lots of filthy action tonight, ppl calling with J4 and turning trips, J5 spades and turning a flush, all against my big pairs, it was pretty sick, and I quickly logged out...
I played on mansion for a bit, mainly mtts, min cashed in the speed rebuy, and went deep in the 20$ 4k gtd f/o, of which I bubbled!!.... the guy on button raises, I am in the SB with A7, so I decide to take a stand, and he calls with J8 off, and flops trips,,,, mbn :-(
I then play a few stts, not too bad, probably level at the end, and register for the 6.5k gtd turbo rebuy of which I final table.... however that was short lived, as I pick up AJ off the 1st hand, I shove blinds are 12500/25000, I have 138000, everyone folds, then the very next hand, I am utg, with AK dd, I decide to shove again, but this time, I get called by 10 10 and JJ, I figure not so bad, until the Jack falls on the flop, and I go out 9th as the other guy has less chips, for a very disappointing 130$......
I am just watching a black belt poker player, female may I add :P , playing in the final 5 of WSOP satellite, gl to Mandy, I hope she wins the package :-)
I will probably take a little rest tomorrow, my mind is kinda everywhere, tonight has bought lots of pain, so I think I need to regroup, anyhow, take care guys and thanks for reading

24 march 2010 4:31am - Tide turning??
Hi there, well today has been eventful to say the least,,, I didnt play much in the day, felt really tired as I was up early for me (11am lol).... so had a sleep and woke up about 7pm after playing a couple of sit n gos and mtts on mansion, which I ended down 30$....
I then went to Big Slick poker club in croydon, to play there weekly rollover tournament, its a £30/£30 semi f/o with 6k/6k chips and a 20 minute clock, but level 6 it goes up to 25 minute clock, they had a lovely £2600 gtd, which they made, therefore will be £2700 next week :-)
I sat down and played 3 hands in the 1st 4 levels, it was painful, 2 of which were bluffs, which got through and the other I folded to a re raise pre flop.... After the break, I made a mistake when raising too little pre flop with my pair, and eventually paid him off on the river with an ace on the board, and in the end I went out short stacked, so no good there.....
I came home and played 2 sit n gos on mansion, one 30$ 6 max, and another 30$ 18 man, and won them both so I was in $300 profit, so its nice to have stopped the rut for a bit :-)
Played a bit on pokerstars, entered the 70k , but was out pretty earlier when my JJ could not hold vs A4 offsuit, 3 clubs by the turn, and I hold the Jack of clubs, but a nice red ace on the river seals my fate, shortly after I push with K7 spades and run into A10 which holds..... I play a bit of cash, but not very good there either, and the 10$ rebuy 50k gtd, and I get a fair stack, but go out about 830th main reason, I could not hold with 99 vs AJ ...Jack on the river, so all in all, not a bad day but would have like it to be a lot better , hey , whats the saying "you cant win them all"....... lol
Hopefully tomorrow I can actually win a tourney, I am getting frustrated with the situation, so I need to put some extra effort in, if Im to bink one !!

Hello there, and welcome to my blog..... I hope you will all enjoy reading (if any lol), and hopefully there will be some great highs and not too many lows along the way :-)
I have been playing poker for about 7 yrs now, and the game still fascinates me today, it can be cruel at times, but when the iron strikes hot it is one of the greatest feelings to ever have in your life....
Back in November of last year, I was playing on pokerstars - dreeniee82 - and had a very fruitful night winning the daily 80k outright. This was my 1st big poker win online and the feeling was unbelievable, a month on in December I played an Ecoop 6 max on Ipoker - Big slick - Iambonkers, and won that too, that was an even greater feeling, a month after that I came 2nd at the DTD £300 event which was a great feeling, as it was my 1st big live win......
The beginning of this month I joined the BadBeat team, playing on Ipoker - Mansion - Dreeniee82, playing stts and mtts.
In my 1st week, it was great, I won a tourney and later that week, had a 2nd and 3rd place finish, I was also doing rather well at the stts..... then variance crept in, and the last 7 days, it has been a bit of a struggle, I admit at times I'm probably not playing to the best of my ability, however I am getting ridiculously outdrawn when it matters, which does not help lolol
Tonight I did not play too much, I played only a handful of stts, cashing a 3rd in one and bubbling a couple of the others, played the $10 rebuy 30k gtd, and after the break had around 6kish, I was dealt KK, one guy raised, I called, the flop came K,J, rag, the guy bets all in, I snap call obv, and he shows 2 red queens, turn 9 ,,,,river 10..... lovely
I played the 5$ rebuy 10k gtd, but never had many chips in that, and just got short stacked was knocked out half way through, I played the 5$ speeeeeeeed rebuy, I min cashed for $50, when I could not crack AK twice whilst holding high pairs :-(
I also played the 20$ tourney 5k gtd, but went out about 60th, with 30 getting paid, and the last one which is the sickest one of all, I was in the midnight express $30 5k doublestack, and after the break I was doing well, with around 7500 chips, A guy opens for 300, I call, and a further 3 callers, I have 66, the flop comes 8,5,6, all clubs, original raiser checks, I bet 840, 1 caller and the others fold, the turn is a King of spades, I bet 2350, he flats, the river is the miracle 6, I move in for my remainder and he snaps me off, He has 97 of CLUBS!!!!!!!!!, was pretty sick, so I just switched off, not a very good day tbh, but hopefully tomorrow will be a much better one :-))
Im off to bed now, for some sleep, its been quite a long day, and I want to be fresh for tomorrow, I'll keep you posted on how I get on, hopefully I can bink something this week, thanks for reading!

Back in November of last year, I was playing on pokerstars - dreeniee82 - and had a very fruitful night winning the daily 80k outright. This was my 1st big poker win online and the feeling was unbelievable, a month on in December I played an Ecoop 6 max on Ipoker - Big slick - Iambonkers, and won that too, that was an even greater feeling, a month after that I came 2nd at the DTD £300 event which was a great feeling, as it was my 1st big live win......
The beginning of this month I joined the BadBeat team, playing on Ipoker - Mansion - Dreeniee82, playing stts and mtts.
In my 1st week, it was great, I won a tourney and later that week, had a 2nd and 3rd place finish, I was also doing rather well at the stts..... then variance crept in, and the last 7 days, it has been a bit of a struggle, I admit at times I'm probably not playing to the best of my ability, however I am getting ridiculously outdrawn when it matters, which does not help lolol
Tonight I did not play too much, I played only a handful of stts, cashing a 3rd in one and bubbling a couple of the others, played the $10 rebuy 30k gtd, and after the break had around 6kish, I was dealt KK, one guy raised, I called, the flop came K,J, rag, the guy bets all in, I snap call obv, and he shows 2 red queens, turn 9 ,,,,river 10..... lovely
I played the 5$ rebuy 10k gtd, but never had many chips in that, and just got short stacked was knocked out half way through, I played the 5$ speeeeeeeed rebuy, I min cashed for $50, when I could not crack AK twice whilst holding high pairs :-(
I also played the 20$ tourney 5k gtd, but went out about 60th, with 30 getting paid, and the last one which is the sickest one of all, I was in the midnight express $30 5k doublestack, and after the break I was doing well, with around 7500 chips, A guy opens for 300, I call, and a further 3 callers, I have 66, the flop comes 8,5,6, all clubs, original raiser checks, I bet 840, 1 caller and the others fold, the turn is a King of spades, I bet 2350, he flats, the river is the miracle 6, I move in for my remainder and he snaps me off, He has 97 of CLUBS!!!!!!!!!, was pretty sick, so I just switched off, not a very good day tbh, but hopefully tomorrow will be a much better one :-))
Im off to bed now, for some sleep, its been quite a long day, and I want to be fresh for tomorrow, I'll keep you posted on how I get on, hopefully I can bink something this week, thanks for reading!
